Summary: Pilot Dick Grayson has been teamed up much to his dismay with the rebellious pilot Jason Todd and two others to retrieve research from a medical station on another planet but the mission isn’t as simple as it seems.
This is dangerous on a few levels Dick thinks. For one, no one was piloting the ship. Sure, he had set it on auto pilot before he went to stretch his legs but what if something happened and he was needed? For another, it was probably not the wisest decision to be making out with a guy who just this morning threw him against a wall over juice. He’s certain this was not what the Admiral had in mind when assigning them to work together. A hard bite to the neck reawakens him to his surroundings and he pushes Jason into a sitting position.
“What?” the younger man asks, clearly annoyed.
“No one’s flying the ship.” Dick makes to get up when Jason puts a hand on his chest.
“Pretty boy can handle it for now.” He moves back to the bite teasing it before he trails his tongue past the man’s collar bone.
Dick groans from the back of his throat, “We need to – nnh- focus on the mission.”
Time seems to still for a split second before Jason laughs into the crook of Dick’s neck, the heat of his breath not helping matters,“We’re floating in the middle of fucking nowhere. We still have days before we get to the god damn med station. I know you were the Admiral’s good little soldier but this is just sad.”
“It’s got nothing to do with him.” Dick snaps “What’s your problem?” the beginnings of anger rising in his voice until Jason’s teeth begin to scrape against his chest and he almost wants to laugh at the ridiculousness of all of this.
“You know why he put me on this ship? You. He tells me I’m a great flyer with potential to be the best and all that shit but I’m careless. Then, he tells me how fucking amazing you are. That maybe I’ll learn something from you, but you know what? You’re not that special.” his eyes focusing on the now light greenish hued bruises on Dick’s shoulders.
“So this is you showing him he’s wrong?” Dick questions.
“If it was I’d be taping it.” He smirks down at Dick. “Nah, this is just fun.” Jason slides a hand down Dick’s side letting his fingers catch on the waist of his pants.
“You know there are less forceful ways to get my attention.”
Dick rolls his eyes, “And slamming me into a wall is fun.”
“I mean if I did that to pretty boy I’d probably break him and we need him. You’re a spare.” and Dick can feel the smile on Jason’s lips against him abdomen.
“You really need to work on your pillow talk.” Dick huffs.
Jason pulls himself upwards and leans into him pressing his lips against Dick’s, asking for entrance. Dick refuses until Jason tangles a hand in his hair and gives it a hard tug that causes him to gasp. Their tongues clash and fight each other. Dick seems to have won until the hand in his hair tugs even rougher. Jason didn’t get his reputation by playing by the rules Dick reminds himself, he has to adjust his method of attack.
He can leave marks too Dick thinks and drags his nails across Jason’s back rewarding him with an animalistic growl from the larger man on top. Jason retaliates with a hard bite on his lower lip but Dick counters by wrapping a leg around Jason’s waist, grinding their hips together. A victorious smile appears on Dick’s face when the other man starts to speed up their thrusts into each other.
“Learning anything yet?” his voice husky.
“You fucking-” Jason pants when a loud knock on the door cuts him off.
“Dick? You need to see this, it looks like an escape shuttle floating ahead of us.” Tim says through the door.
Jason groans in annoyance and Dick replays Tim’s words over again until his mind is able to comprehend them.
“I’ll be there in a minute.” he still sounds a touch hoarse and he can already imagine the smug look Tim was going to give him upon seeing the fiery bite on his neck.
